Muhammara

This is a Syrian roasted red pepper and walnut dip. Recipe from @thebrightblooms on Threads

Of course 😊 mine is from a book (Syria recipes from home by @itabazzam). Grill a red pepper and a chilli until blackened and soft. Peel the skin once cool. Grind 75g walnuts until finely ground. Add the red pepper, chilli, 3 tablespoons olive oil, 1 tsp red pepper paste, 1 tablespoon of pomegranate molasses, a crushed garlic clove and salt then blend. Easy and so good!

Starting point for Salsa

I found a recipe on FaceBook.  I usually ignore recipes I find online that I haven’t gone seeking for on my own.  But, this looks like  good starting point when the summer joy starts.

8 oz. shredded Colby/Monterey Jack cheese
1/8 c. chopped green onion

Allow cream cheese to soften. Add all ingredients into a bowl and mix well. Pour into a baking dish and bake at 350ºF for 30 minutes or until bubbly.

Buffalo Chicken Dip

From Amanda:

Frank’s Red Hot Buffalo Chicken Dip

8 oz cream cheese,
1/2 cup blue cheese dressing,
1/2 cup Frank’s Sauce,
1/2 cup blue cheese crumbles,
2 10-oz cans chicken breast chunks (or some shredded chicken),
celery and/or crackers.

Heat oven to 350ºF. Mix softened cream cheese, dressing, sauce and crumbles. Stir in chicken. Bake 20 mins until hot and bubbly. Stir before serving.

Sandy’s variation:

I have relied on a very similar version of this many times….use ranch dressing and instead of blue cheese use mozzarella or mild cheddar shredded, sprinkle more over top and heat in crockpot….really good with celery or plain pita chips.

CCM Carrot dip

My kid invented this one night.  It was tasty.

Made of carrots not FOR carrots.

In a food processor:

3 frozen broccoli spears
1/4 c. sunflower seeds
some chipotle flavored olive oil
some chili infused olive oil
plain olive oil
2 carrots
red bell pepper
water
5-8 cloves fresh garlic
taco seasoning
onion powder

It was all pretty much “however much looks good” and “according to taste.”

Served with corn chips.
