Taco Soup

Brown 1 lb of ground “meat” (Turkey or lean beef or veggie crumbles) Pour off the grease.


Add: 1 pkg. taco or chili seasoning
2 14 oz. cans diced tomatoes, with liquid
2 14 oz. cans whole kernel corn, with liquid
1 14 oz. can pinto beans, with liquid
1 14 oz. can kidney beans, with liquid


Simmer for 30 minutes.


Serve over broken corn chips. Top with grated cheese and sour cream.

1 tablespoon chili powder (3/4 c.)
1/2 teaspoon paprika (6 Tbsp.)
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (3 Tbsp.)
2 teaspoons ground cumin (8 Tbsp.)
1/2 teaspoons dried oregano (6 Tbsp.)
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (3 Tbsp.)
1/4 teaspoon onion powder (3 Tbsp.)
1 teaspoon salt (1 Tbsp.)
1 teaspoon ground black pepper (1 Tbsp.)

 
I like the idea of making my own seasoning better than buying packets of preservatives.
