Corn Light bread

2 c. flour
1 c. corn meal
2 c. butter milk
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
2 Tbsp. vegetable oil

Combine and pour into a greased loaf pan. Bake at 300°F for 1 hour and 20 minutes.

I got this recipe from my mother.  It’s moister and less crumbly than cast iron skillet corn bread.
